📽️ The Documentary Short Film (2016)
In 2016, Pietro Mereu directed “Giù le mani dall’Ogliastra,” a documentary short film created to denounce the depopulation and isolation of the island’s inland villages (including Arzana, Baunei, Talana, Urzulei, and Villagrande Strisaili). In the documentary, the director highlights the extraordinary paradox of a land recognized worldwide as a Blue Zone for the longevity of its inhabitants, yet simultaneously stripped of essential services, starting with infrastructure and healthcare.
